BLAQ OWL

Kamogelo Cedrick Mashego (born 16 April 1992) popularly known by his stage name Blaq Owl, is a South African record producer and DJ. As a record producer with a blend of House Music and Afro Pop, Hip-Hop he has worked with and has received production credits from several notable artists including Anthony Poteat (USA), Mara J Boston (Italy), Miguel Scott, Black Power (Angola), Benga Boys, ChrisCarter SA, Sir Young, Lil Soul, KayMass, Lazba Deep, DeepBlue SA, DJ Behind Bars, GMash, King Pro, DJ Bonaqua, among others. Blaq owl was born and raised in Ga-Rankuwa, while at a later stage around the year 1997 his family relocated to Mamelodi. Blaq Owl whose real name is Kamogelo Cedrick Mashego started his schooling life at a Primary called Mahlasedi Masana and his High school years was ended at a High school called Nellmapius Secondary School. The magical years where he discovered his potential as a musician; that's when everything started. Blaq Owl started self-teaching himself how to produce Music in the year 2007. Blaq owl grew more and more by first releasing his debut release where he featured his friends DJ Kaytee & Zox in tracks titled Oga, this however was licensed by a label called Blaq Owl Music. The track was released on online stores like Traxsource and Itunes where the single made its way and got listed in the Botswana Music Charts Top 100 no 1 and Afro House Top 100 in the Traxsource was also no 34. He started realizing his potential; and didn't stop pushing his craft and released a lot of tracks featuring artists like Betty Msiza, Benga Boys, Sir Young SA, DeepBlue SA, Koffie on a track called Sizani, Seki Soul to mention a few, till now his releases always hit the best 100 single marking every single he releases that even made him be recognized internationally and ended featuring artists like Anthony Poteat (USA) and Mara J Boston (Italy), Black Power (Angola).
