MATT MCLARRIE

As you are about to read, I have not paid for a professional bio and I am not going to talk about myself in the third person. I am a beard shaker from Glasgow, Scotland where I produce deep, chunky, jazzy, tribal, spiritual. I am either in control of the music or strutting about the dance floor like a cross between a flamboyant confused flamingo and a nervous spring onion. You may need good quality drugs to enjoy my music.

My repetitive vibrations have found their way onto some of the most respected underground labels – Elrow Music, KMS Records, Nite Grooves, Great Stuff (VA), Material Series, Simma Black, Madtech (MTDL), Toolroom (Ibiza VA), iRecords, InHouse, Flashmob, Younan Music and more. I also co-own label Cueca Recordings with Jonathan David (CAN).

My track "Jazz Kneecaps" reached #1 in the Traxsource Deep House charts in 2018 and I was the 64th best-selling Deep House artist of that year. I also made it into the top 100 in 2019 & 2020. I have officially remixed (ruined the originals) for some big-name producers such as Wally Lopez, Darren Emerson, Kevin Yost, Iban Montoro & Jazzman Wax, Saeed Younan & Charles Ramirez. My music has also been remixed by heavy hitters Joeski, Demuir, Ellroy and Hauswerks. I now have 4 vinyl releases with 2 on Material Series alongside Danny Serrano, Raffa FL, and Eskuche & Nu Sky. My mum turned one of them into a cake stand and another one into a clock. Probably make more money selling them that way.

My music has been played Carl Cox (live at Space Ibiza), Todd Terry, Kerri Chandler, Chus and Ceballos, Mark Knight, Erick Morillo, Kevin Saunderson, Steve Bug, Kevin Yost, Low Steppa, Joeski, Harry Romero, Saeed Younan, Mario Ochoa, Jay Lumen, Gene Farris and more.
