PLASTIC LOVE RECORDS
Launched in 2010, Plastic Love began as a party featuring resident DJs Bas and Jimmy Maheras plus various guests from around the globe.
Based in Los Angeles, and taking creative inspiration from both East and West coast roots, Plastic Love aims to bring the dancefloor their finest musical stylings digging deep through their collective 15-year history of record collecting. Together Bas and Jimmy have been able to express their unique sound with residencies at some of LA’s most iconic clubs (including Avalon, The Standard, The Vanguard, and Basic). The duo also showcases an eclectic mix of local and global artists through a series of radio shows and podcasts. 2014 sees the boys launch their own record label, aptly titled, Plastic Love Records.
The aim of Plastic Love Records is to heavily feature budding LA-based artists and connect them with producers abroad that we feel have a special connection with the city - be it through one of our parties, a friend’s party, or similar mindset, and help develop our local scene even more. With a limited release schedule of 5-6 records per year, we value quality over quantity. Always.
