In 2004, a year after Duffnote was established, a new home for a new, more experimental musical direction from Richard Earnshaw and Daniel Jones was needed to explore their roots in jazz under their One51 moniker. It soon attracted a variety of writers and producers with the same passion for diverse musical exploration.
