Another year of great music for Rebirth, and to close with a bang, we present our brand new installment of the Rebirth Essentials compilation, including our best releases of the last 12 months.

We kick off with the Francesca Lombardo's remix of 'Casuarina Road' by William Valoti and Robytek, a forward-thinking and emotional piece of music, with magic vocals and subtle rhythms. Israeli musician Chaim is here with 'Spells Of Bhagwan' , an experimental psychedelic track with the amazing vocals from Maalem Kouyou and 'Wrong Diagonal', a trippy, hypnotic track with an incredibly catchy percussive rhythmic pattern that will drive you crazy on the dancefloor. Acid Pauli does a superb job on 'Leaving' by Modular Project, translating the atmospheres of the original onto a dubbier version for the floor, giving us moments of high intensity through a deep journey melancholia and synth laden ambience.
Butch and Chriss Vogt are back with 'Live at RJ', another infectious tune from the duo, where elements from modern electronic music and classic leave subtle traces in both melodies and atmospheres, with a breakdown that build in intensity and will drive you to heaven. One of the biggest underground tracks of the summer, 'Don't Forget To Go Home' by Emanuel Satie is a collaboration with the internationally renowned drumming virtuoso, percussionist, composer Billy Cobham. A future classic, mixing jazz with deep house ! The label boss Shield loved the track so much and decided to give the track his personal touch. The beat edit features a new afro rhythm pattern played by Carlos Santana's percussionist Idrissa Diop !
The explosive 'Dreaming Won't Do' by Lele Sacchi is a cheecky and charminig disco track remixed by the mysterious duo Tiger & Woods, while Blue Mondays, aka Alex Ferrazzi and Keemani, produce 'Dig It, Understand It', is hypnotic, spacey, with raw and deep synth lines and a sonic blue jazz flavour. Argy is here with 'Let's Play' featuring Blue Jay. A club vocal Anthem, with a hooky bassline, a distinctive riff and the powerful vocals, combining the soul of Detroit and Chicago House with the Berlin attitude. Greek producer Echonomist delivers a dubbier version with mesmerizing sonorities and deeper atmospheres.
'Quadro' is the new Pastaboys single, a club weapon of big proportions with propulsive percussions and an hypnotic twist creating a constant sense of energy and groove, remixed by one half of Mood II Swing, John Ciafone, here with an exclusive dub version, with his inimitable groove and a hypnotic bassline ! 'Touch Tone' by Jay Shepheard combines a groovy beat with a driving percussion, a deep bass and a soul vocal harmony. To close the volume Gigi Masin's intricate and deeply emotive remix of Blue Mondays, a sublime and spaced-out juncture of jazzy ambient and foggy electronics.
