Reservoir Gods (Izakaya Deployment Remix)

Already receiving remixes for "Odishon" on Yin and Yang in January 2019, we now turn our attention to the title track from Sapiens "Reservoir Gods" EP. First released in March 2018 on Baroque Digital, remixes come from Russia and Peru.

Hailing from the Peruvian capital but "with a special affection for Japan," Izakaya Deployment has been a regular around the clubs of his Lima home. Moreover, Izakaya has found a global audience through his long-running monthly "No Signal" show on Proton Radio. A production career that has seen a raft of credits on his own No Signal Records alongside Matias Chilano, Michael A and Sean McLellan, Izakaya has also found himself featured on Tuxedo's Electronic Tree and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat – the latter with a standout remix of Hubert Gomez's "Death Lurks" in early 2017.

A debut for Yin remixing Derek Howell's "Interstellar Homecoming" in May 2017 is now followed by a second, as the Izakaya Deployment remix takes "Reservoir Gods" on a deep, stripped-back voyage that delights with its intelligently synchronized bassline and delayed percussive top-line. A lead line that has its roots in Sapiens' original pierces at the breakdown and beyond, as a detuned chord progression adds further depth in the mix's final movement.
