They only put out releases every now and then, but when they do we can be sure it's something special - of course we talk about Tony Records (the label by the one and only Tony Humphries) whose next release will be "Songs of my life" by the team of E-Man and Doc Link, with additional vocals from Angel-A. The original version is an infectious affair built around fierce rhythms and luscious melodies which harmonize perfectly with E-Man's unmistakable spoken poetry and Angel-A's passionate vocals. Fanatix (Aaron Ross & Neil Pierce) impress with an innovative electronic/acid tinged remix taking us back in time yet oozing with a futuristic sound, with Aaron Ross further intensifying the vibe on his wicked 'Acid Dub'. DJ Sossa is next with his hypnotizing prime-time remixes complete with a hot sample of the classic MD X-Spress track "God made me phunky". Seminal, and not to be missed.
