Perce release number 7 is here and we are glad to welcome Maltitz to the family, with his Hippie Seance. Maltitz is a Berlin-based artist which embeds a wide range of musical influences in his productions. From techno to disco, electro to dub, all those influences made his music stand out as a unique symbioses.
Ouija Rave is the first track of the release and it’s a mixture of spherical, Indian influenced sounds, driving rhythms and electronic synth lines. It’s intense and we love it.
Hippie Seance is the second track of the release and, as the artist point’s out, is themed after a necromancy ritual. Ringing bells and scary sounding pads all over, driving the mood into an esoteric rave. Detached and loosened up, the bassline is reminiscent of Kraftwerk's 80s-inspired arpeggios. The title ends with a Jaw-harp sound, giving an ethnic approach and enriching the sound pallet.
On remix duties we have our very own JEPE delivering a killer track with his re-interpretation of Hippie Seance. JEPE managed to capture and preserve in a brilliant way what makes the original so special, merging it all with his own DNA. The result is dancefloor masterpiece.
