Part of Atlant's ideology is to embrace exciting artists that bring fresh ideas and innovative sounds to the table. Such an ethos is important as we seek to explore new horizons throughout the year. Rather than follow trends Atlant prefers to go with our heart and our ears. With this in mind, it is a pleasure to welcome the talents of Losless to our ever expanding family.

Portugal based Frenchman Losless (Benjamin Charrière) produces music driven by analogue aesthetics and a love of synthesizers. The fruits of Benjamin's labour have been rewarded with recent releases for Steyoyoke and Traum. ATL032 catches Losless during a period of creativity across three tracks that are diverse in approach, yet compliment each other as a whole.

Over Me' centres around an intense low key male vocal, underpinned by an edgy rasping shuffled groove. Dynamics are masterfully controlled, as Losless blends atmospheric echoed crashes with cavernous arp lines and throbbing bass to deliver just the right level of drama.

'Scratches From Underworld' is a fine way to build suspense and tension during extended DJ sets. Here the sustained dissected chord lines and swathes of synths draw you in, taking the listener on a mystical journey filled with analogue alchemy.

Closing out this release 'Shaula' is more of a stripped down pulsating dance- floor focused cut. Deep, dark and trippy ‘Shaula' demonstrates that Losless is equally at home making music that really gets the club crowd moving.

This EP has been tried and tested by BOg on the road at Watergate (Berlin), Waagenba (Hamburg), Metro Dance Club (Alicante) and Marina Beach (Valecia) for Fayer. Reaction on the floors has been fantastic, and we strongly recommend that discerning DJs add these to their box.
