Aroma recordings is proud to present the greenskeepers back on european soil with their latest release fingerblasting! After founding members james curd and nick mauer started to make people wonder what interesting new sound they were bringing on derrick carter's classic label with the song 'should I sing like this' in 1998, the road was opened for a whole new dimension in house music. Almost 10 years later, they've done a few albums on classic and the us label om recordings with hits like 'keepin it down' (feat. Colette), 'man in the house' and not so long ago 'polo club' taken from their latest album. This ep is one of their strongest works to date and it's kicking off in style with 'fingerblasting'. Some people baldly state that this is how the talking heads would sound now if they were making house music and honestly, they were right! This song has 'sing-a-long’ written all over it with its disco-fied dancing madness in the purest form. Nick mauer's voice is back on the track 'trouble' although in a more cut-up shape and once more this is one of those tracks that you will never get fed up playing, the dance floor just eats it raw. The third track on this ep is called 'stomp your feet' and this is somehow a more cleaner sound than we are used to hear from the boys but it works magically good and reminds some cats of recent lawnchair generals stuff. If you get the chance, try to catch the greenskeepers – the 4 piece band - live this summer at a few selected clubs or festivals! It's good fun!
