"Ay-Tu-Bah" is the first single on the re-activated 95 North Records, the label from Richard Payton and Doug Smith of 95 North Productions, Inc. The Club Mix is a tribal workout with cavernous congas, banging toms, synth stabs, and a booming bass line. The Dub Mix is a more minimal arrangement relying on the drum track and different breaks. The Beat Dub is just that - beats that can be used whatever way is needed. The Smooth Mix is along the lines of the other 95 North sound - smooth keyboard pads over a driving drum track with a nice piano solo sprinkled on top to allow you to just lay back in the groove. The Red Dub, named in honor of the former club of the same name, is a retro-ish arrangement with an organ pattern laying the foundation while the bass line and cowbell propel the track forward. Written, produced, and mixed by Richard Payton, 95 North is coming out of the gate strong with this release. Stayed tuned, there's more to come!

ABOUT 95 NORTH:
Richard and Doug's work in the soulful house music realm is well known reaching back to their first release on Strictly Rhythm Records in 1992. Their remixes and productions for mainstream artists including Crystal Waters ("What I Need", "Just a Freak"), Jody Watley ("If I'm Not In Love"), and Dru Hill ("Tell Me") as well as underground artists such as Stephanie Cooke ("Everything"), Sabrynaah Pope ("Hold On", "My Life"), and Mijan ("Alright") have filled many DJ crates. Releases done under several aliases such as Da Hooligans ("Who's Hoo"), Groove Patrol ("Need Your Love"), and Johnny Corporate ("Sunday Shoutin'") have graduated to classic status. Over the years, 95 North has received support from DJs such as Tony Humphries, Louie Vega, DJ Spen, Pete Tong, DJ Disciple, Roger S., Sam "The Man" Burns, DJ Mandrill, DJ Oji, DJ Pope, Paul "Trouble" Anderson, DJ Dove and many more.

After some years of taking a break from music production, Richard stated, "After seeing and receiving so many kind words on Facebook and YouTube from folks who have liked our music, I was newly inspired to get back into the studio." The resurrection of the 95 North label will allow Richard and Doug to pick up where they left off - producing quality soulful house music to rock dance floors everywhere!
