Having both been prominent figures in the UK urban scene of the 2000s, TAZ notices the DJ support Ruff Diamond is showing for 'Rock The Mic' and re-connects -'bro you're making Disco records, let's get in the studio..' and 'Extra High' was born. Combining with the talents of aspiring Berlin based vocalist Wanja Janeva, the three came together and smashed out the track during an overnight session in a South London studio.

Ruff Diamond's production talents shine through here, delivering a modern Disco record on full Funk overload. The groove will have you hooked instantly, lavishly laced with Quincy Jones-esque percussion and Larry Levan-esque cosmics, making you feel ohh soo good. Topped off with punchy horns, funk'd up guitars and Moog monosynth solo, this jam will have the party people squelching with delight.

Described by Ruff Diamond as having 'the Janis Joplins' and 'the Teena Maries', Wanja Janeva blesses 'Extra High' with her undeniably moving and soulful vocal abilities.
