A Man Called Adam release the second Love Forgotten album this spring, collecting together oddities, rarities, deep cuts, unheard mixes and alternate versions of tracks from their back catalogue.

A further exploration of the wide world of A Man Called Adam (Sally Rodgers and Steve Jones), Love Forgotten Pt 2 is a musical magic carpet ride away from the everyday made up from rarely heard or unreleased tracks from the band's vast and deep back catalogue. It features reworkings of classic singles next to ambient sound pieces and collaborations with visionary producer Andrew Weatherall, South African singer Brenda Fassie, US reggaeton artist Magic Juan and Sensory Productions (Rob Mello and Zaki D) to name a few. Tracks melt together to form one gorgeous whole that acts as the perfect escape route from the here and now at a time when we need it the most.

AMCA's Sally Rodgers: "Lockdown has slapped us all down. In our post-traumatic states we've looked to things we can rely on: family, friends, science and the natural world. When it comes to music we've looked to songs that sooth and comfort us, that inspire us and lift us up. For some people, our catalogue has some of those songs that transport them back to happier, more carefree times. Big tunes that drum up real feelings. Some of these are wedding songs or funeral songs, music that has soundtracked those rites of passage for them.

Love Forgotten Pt 2 hopefully gives insights into the processes by which those 'big tunes' came into being. And they feature contributions from our musical friends and family - some of those big names that have been part of our journey and that we've sadly lost: José Padilla, Andrew Weatherall, Brenda Fassie. As a band, we're normally anti-nostalgia but over the last year, we've reviewed our musical lives and tried to craft these collections in order to offer a bit of solace and optimism, at the same time trying to document the rich, wonderful creative journey we've been on."

"If you thought you knew Balearic heroes AMCA, think again. This first collection shines a light on just how varied their output is. Murky, echo-soaked dub.. frisky Afrobeat palpably brimming with joyful energy… there's plenty here to thoroughly lose yourself in"" - Ben Wilmott (Electronic Sound)
""There are nods to those hazy Ibizan days via unreleased mixes of some old faves, but they also take in various strains of low-key house, global rhythms, experimental musings, pure ambience, jaunty pop, a few tunes which sidle up against folk-country, and various other sublime odds and ends"" - Bruce Tantum (Test Pressing)
""The veteran Balearic duo's latest album is a stunning collection of out-takes and rarities spanning their 30-plus year career… AMCA's experimental moments, blissed-out Balearic bangers and straight-up dancefloor winners."" - Harold Heath (IDJ)
""A superb collection of rarities, re-edits and rediscoveries from one of UK dance music's most enduring and creative duos, 'Long Forgotten Oddities and Rarities Pt.1'delves deep into A Man Called Adam's extensive thirty-year back catalogue, taking in downtempo gems and dancefloor monsters alike. Class, sophistication and experimentation have always defined AMCA and such is the case here."" - Harold Heath (Attack Magazine)
