Deeptone Recordings presents Andy D - Love & Music EP
Andy D, who's real name is Andile Dlamini, aged 23, is an Eswatini (Swaziland) born deep house producer, from Lonhlupheko near Siteki Town in the Lubombo region of Country. From a very young age, he has been in love with music listening to a wide variety of music genres including house, jazz, hiphop and RnB. In secondary school is where he discovered the Djing software known as 'Virtual Dj' through friends who shared the same music aspirations as himself. Through this software and television shows like 'vinny's house' began his love for deep house and house music as whole. One of the first tracks to have hit hard in his time growing up (and still does) was a track by one of his favourite producers 'Jullian Gomes' track titled 'Love Song 28'. After high School, he joined the University of Eswatini Luyengo campus, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Agriculture Economics and Agribusiness Management (completed September 2020).
In his time in the institution, new environment and meeting new people, some of which had the same ideologies about music, he came into the realization of the music production software known as 'FL Studio'. Discovering this DAW and familiarizing himself with it was fascinating as he had always had hopes of creating his own music with hopes to hear it play on phones, radios and television. Andy's style of production incorporates dark, dub, minimal, atmospheric, harmonic, wet, melodic, soul, tech, and sometimes progressive type of sounds. He also extends his production to some Lo-Fi neo-soul type of beats as he also admires underground jazzy hip-hop and neo-soul. With house music having a wide range of talent both locally and internationally, he does not have a specific favourite producer/artist but is overwhelmed by the craft from the likes of Pablo Bolivar and YokoO to name a few.His Favourite Spinners/DJs are Shervaan B, 2sman, 2lani The warrior and Kat La Kat to name a few.
Andy D brings his hard yet nostalgic sound to the Deeptone Recordings catalog with 3 cuts on his EP that will go straight into one of his greatest creations of all time!
