Russian producer Vova Gridin joins us at Monog Records with the superb Tiara EP. While we don’t know much about this relative newcomer, what we do know is hugely impressive. Since 2019 he’s churned out a raft of release, almost exclusively on Dutch imprint, Compulsive Movement Records. The quality of his sound is intriguing which has led to great support from many around the world and we’re delighted to have him here.

The Original Mix of Tiara opens the release, taking us into an eclectic, vibrant and colourful world of sound. Tight beats and a deep droning bassline draw us in. Emotionally charged with a distinctly positive vibe, the groove is warm and inviting, just the tonic for the darker days.

Berlin based DJ, producer Lee Jones marks his Monog debut with a solid remix of Tiara. Lee has enjoyed great success over the years, since 2006 his tracks have graced many top labels and are championed by top jocks all over. He runs his own outfit called Mad As Hell, which focuses in on the organic sound. Great to have him on board. Here, Lee delivers a solid interpretation, opening the track with a mesmerizing arpeggio before a deep, subby bassline takes over. Beautifully sweet melodies flow through as emotive chord changes pull on the heartstrings. The perfect feel-good factor groove.

Diadem is a wonderfully rich, dynamic slice that filling the spectrum with an array of colourful sounds. Driven by a strong kick drum and crispy hat combo, warm, melodic arps wash over the groove as harmonising segments create depth and feeling. Top-notch stuff.
