Following up on Drubon’s well received „Snareman“ EP, Indonesian CYDA comes up with a non-less impressive EP. „Space Energy“ is the name of the debut EP of the award winning producer on Soulfooled.

The title song “Dark Energy” was inspired by watching the 80s anime film “Gundam”. When he heard the Italo/Synth influenced Movie Soundtrack, the idea for it fastly shaped in his head. Out came a modern Italo inspired Dance Floor weapon.

Driving bass line, warped chords & dreamy arpeggiators, sounding like a journey through space. How fitting that „Hoag’s stuff“ was inspired by a dreamy moment of CYDA watching the star-filled sky from his window, fantasizing about the life beyond earth. Buckle your belt and let the flight begin!

The EP is closed with - how can it be different? - a tune that he produced after watching the 80s cartoon called "Space Adventure“, that contained a lot of new wave sounds and 80s synth instruments. „In short: I always watch 80s movies that „smell“ like outer space to make music“, CYDA resumes... „Space In Your Eyes“ could easily described as the second „A-Side“ here and is rounding up this EP properly.
