The idea for this track came about six months ago, when Samuel found a synthesizer sequence on his old PC that he had made years ago. He decided to give new life to the pattern and develop it further. That's how the blueprint for this song was born. He added an extra synth, some energetic drums and a lot of atmospheric effects to finish the track.

When the record was almost finished, he still felt that something was missing. He knocked on the door of Suzanne Krijger, his roommate and upcoming spoken word artist. Since they had worked together on a track before, he asked her if she could add some lyrics to this song. A few weeks later he received her text, which evoked him in a dark, but at the same time peaceful feeling. It is a melancholic text about death, specifically about saying goodbye to a loved one. Sometimes death can be very hard, but sometimes it can also be peaceful and acceptable. To reinforce that feeling, he decided to slow down just before the drop, so that the feeling of that vulnerable life that has passed comes out even better.
