After a five year hiatus, Formatik resurrects with a special two-track delivery from Hamburg-based outfit Moonbootica. Masters in the art of amphetaminic jack and hi-NRG, Chicago-informed shuffle tinged with proper knee-buckling breaks for good measure, Kowalski and Schmidt turn up with a pair of cuts primed for steamy main room and back-shop action.

First in line, "Say More" serves up a hella sturdy, funk-savvy mix of metronomic swing, verbed-out stabs and grimey MC pep talk, with obvious focus laid on the monster sub-bass and synthetic party horns on an exuberant Afro-step tip. Muscle-flexin', sweat-squeezing material all set at shaking the club's foundations with poise and panache.

Flip it over and here's "U-Haul", a steady blazing shot of processed analogue hoodoo and 2-step-ish, garage swagger bound for peak-time momentums and jockeying plot twists. Toying with an arsenal of static-filled circuit noises, chest-rattling drums and looped-out classic house chug chiselled for optimal floor impact, this most certainly makes for a benchmark Moonbootica slab in the realest, most compelling sense of the term.
