One of the fastest rising underground stars of our generation, disco-house sensation Miguel Campbell makes a momentous come back on the Hot Creations imprint with two original tracks from his highly anticipated album with impressive remixes from Shadow Child and MAM.

Jones and Lee Foss who first spotted the Leeds based Miguel Campbell and snapped him up with %u2018Baby I Got It,%u2019 which was released on the label in 2011. The release featured the astronomic %u2018Something Special%u2019, which became the biggest selling track on Beatport that year, now clocking over 4 million views on Youtube! Since then, Miguel has won a DJ Mag Best of British Award and has been releasing and remixing on other labels such as Wolf Lamb and Outcross.
First up for this release, title track %u2018Rockin%u2019 Beats%u2019 featuring Naroe on vocals is a funk fuelled odyssey , filled with spacey electronic madness and showcasing Campbell%u2019s dexterous use of vocals adding extra dimensions as the vocoder Daft Punk style rapping rolls through the zappy synths and warm beats. Dirtybird favourite Shadow Child makes his first appearance on the imprint with his remix of %u2018Rockin%u2019 Beats%u2019%u2013 bass-led and groovy with shuffling percussions, the track soon progresses into a perfect dose of nu-school house on a garage tip. The melodic keys and bouncing percussions are highly intoxicating and prove why the skillful producer has become a favourite amongst heavyweights including Eats Everything and Claude Von Stroke.
On the flip %u2018Not That Kind Of Girl%u2019 featuring Becks Lott on vocals, is reminiscent of the monumental %u2018Something Special%u2019, with a warm feminine touch, oozing with heaps of funk and groove and boasting crossover pop appeal. For the remix, Miguel teams up with Matt Hughes under their MAM moniker, taking it deeper and utilizing the grumbling undertones, with less focus on the vocal and more on the music.
