Burn the Tape's second album - The Bumptious Grind – is an exploration of modern funk in all its forms. On the release you will find boom bap-tinged hip hop, liquid drum and bass, driving slo-mo house/disco and mid-tempo breaks. The songs featured are designed to suit a variety of contexts, but never stray from their intent to engage the listener, by way of thumping drums, the use of esoteric synths and samples, and thick bass lines that seek to make heads nod and bodies move.
