An artist with a growing reputation built around a remarkable sound and a core set of musical beliefs, amháin finds himself at the vanguard of underground progressive house. An accomplished DJ with performances across his adopted Australian homeland, the Irish-born artist has seen production work in tandem signed to the likes of Vapour Recordings, onedotsixtwo and Meanwhile. A pair of remixes for Erdi Irmak and Michael A have graced Proton Music while a remix for Loveclub, Mariner + Domingo was a notable Particles highlight in May 2021. Now with the sublime, "Evaporate", a fizzing percussive groove and deep kick combine with ethereal pads and delay-infused synth motifs to create a shimmering sonic collage. Gradually introducing a swathe of complementary elements, a rasping bass note and razor-edged synth lead shine at the breakdown before the detailed groove and melodic flow combine one more in the latter stages.

Mike Rish is another rising Southern Hemisphere star. Responsible for a string of impressive release including a 2021 full-length album on UGENIUS, the Melbourne artist has found further success on GMJ and Matter's Meanwhile, Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Guy J's Lost and Found. Guided by a principle of selective musical output, Particles is honoured to welcome Mike Rish with a superb reworking of "Evaporate". Familiar tropes from the original reveal themselves in innovative sonic patterns as Rish builds his powerful remix founded upon new rolling groove and syncopated bass pattern. Club-friendly synth motifs come to the fore in cadenced phrasing before a spine-tingling arpeggio opens up at the breakdown to provide a hands-in-the-air moment, before dropping back into the mesmerising combination of rhythmic and melodic synchronicity.

Born in Hungary but firmly settled in his adopted Copenhagen home, GÆO is a fixture across the clubs of the Danish capital. A graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Music, the Hungarian is as comfortable behind the decks as he is in the studio with a kaleidoscope of "driving beats, dreamy atmospheres and moving melodies". As such, work for Embliss Records, Stellar Limited and the Visceral compilation series has seen GÆO grow in stature with an increasing body of work since late 2020. Now making his Particles debut, a deep kick and ticking shaker pattern provide the backdrop for pads from "Evaporate" to appear while a blend of new melodies from the GÆO production studio ripple in rotating patterns across the 7-minute piece. Gradually building in energy through an elegantly used open filter, the vocal refrain from the original appears, to connect the listener to amháin's work.
