Luminous is the new EP by Tatiana Heuman. This record is a resignification of her nomadic condition and the exploration of what it means to belong to a place called home. It represents the long search for an ideal, luminous space that she can call her own.

Having taken the title of her previous release as her own artist name, she seems to be telling us she has now fully embodied her music, living comfortably in it until she and it are indistinguishable. The new resulting work confirms this.
Where QEEI the record felt experimental and even tentative, Luminous by QEEI the artist feels self-assured and definite. Structures were restless and meandering, at certain moments they edged toward pop; now they've been (mostly) streamlined in favor of club propulsion, with a newfound patience to explore the full potential of every section.

Where voice was previously at the forefront it has now (mostly) been mangled into submission and made to blend into a more forceful sounding whole. The percussion, which was timid and darting before, has (mostly) also been put to the service of Groove, often locking into dense, forward-moving patterns that are sure to be effective on dancefloor bodies.

"Mostly", because Luminous is not without its tender moments, namely the stunning sister pieces 'Alarma 1' and 'Alarma 2'. Here, the muscular percussion drops out and the voice returns as the main character for two beautiful, haunting interludes.
While still on a search for a base, a physical terrain with which to identify, her progression as an artist tells us that she is firmly on her way to making a luminous shelter out of her music.
