Black Sjuan's debut EP on Fresh Meat Records is a love letter to 90s Chicago house music. The three tracks on the EP - "Do You (Feel Me),""Learn 2 Love Urself," and "Hall of Ruckus" - showcase Black Sjuan's deep knowledge of the genre, as well as his ability to add his own touch to the sound.

The EP opens with "Do You (Feel Me)," a filtered jazzy disco house groove featuring a spoken word conversation about being true to oneself as an artist. It's a nod to the soulful, groove-driven sounds of the 70s and 80s that inspire Black Sjuan's music.

"Learn 2 Love Urself" is a standout track, taking a shuffled house rhythm and adding an electrified 80s synth sample in and out of the groove. It's an extended DJ tool that creates a hypnotic dancefloor experience designed for our favorite kind of selector.

The final track on the EP, "Hall of Ruckus," is a walloping 90s house groove that showcases Black Sjuan's skills as a producer. The track peppers in electric piano, guitar, and bass samples, along with angular hi-hats and 909 drums, creating a wild and sweaty, early morning loft dancefloor kind of vibe.

Overall, Black Sjuan's debut EP is a testament to the enduring power of Chicago house music, as well as an exciting preview of what's to come from this talented producer. Fans of classic house sounds, as well as those who are looking for a fresh take on the genre, should definitely give this release a listen.
