Both engaged with other music projects at the time, Gianmaria & Alessandro started working together on some tracks in 2015 in Amsterdam at their studio in Mauritskade. The idea was to start from our iconic influences of the 90's and early 00's, spanning from the indie rock era and transitioning through to the electronica and dance music. We traced back our musical roots and picked up the main elements of those scenes, blending the analog and digital sides together. This also reflected in the name Drums & Wires.
In this blurry sonic landscape of intentions, we managed to pull ideas off without imposing ourselves any genre-restrictions. These took shape in the form of these highly heterogeneous tracks.
We decided to push them out today to make justice to the creative Mauritskade days.
