Crunch label boss and Italy's finest export Frank Storm (Hot Creations, Kaluki) returns to the dreamy and groovy lands of Serialism after a long six years hiatus. As always, he does it in style and finesse with the entitled 'Aldea' EP, which also sees Liverpool minimal-tech specialist Ray Mono on the remix duties.
Within the three originals, Frank fuses tight kicks and skippy drums beneath deep and dubby synths, subtle vocal murmurs, and low-slung basslines. On his version of 'Aldea', Ray Mono (MOXY, Tamango) opts for slinking, crisp grooves with icy hats, wobbling bass and airy pads for a mesmerizing after-hours treatment.
