We are super pleased to welcome back our Los Angeles friend Idan Hana! After his successful last release on our label featuring that great Ron Trent remix he presents an all new set of deep and eclectic tracks to us.
The opener “Mountain Peaks” is inspired by the vibrant energy of Italo disco. Capturing a joyful and uplifting mood with unique and unconventional micro synth sounds and class percussion Idan builds towards an infectious chord break down.
“Hidden Forest” is built around a drum sample and goes way deeper, shaped by the filtered drums and the Arpeggios it’s evoking the sensation of walking through a jungle and observing children playing joyfully. The goal was to create an immersive experience, capturing the essence of being in a forest.
“Rolling Hills” is best described in his own words: “When composing this track, I envisioned a spaceship visiting Earth. It all began with a catchy pattern I created on the OB-6 synthesizer. From there, I layered additional synth sounds and bass to give a full presence to my beloved OB-6. The result is a captivating blend of futuristic elements, combining intricate melodies with an otherworldly atmosphere.” You truly capture this feeling in the sound! Additional editing and mixing was done by Break 3000.
Now we get to “Panorama” that is Idan’s fave track of this EP. It combines elements of electro, soulful chords, and an overall sense of fun. The track maintains an ever-changing nature, keeping the listener engaged and curious throughout. For this composition, he predominantly used the MC-202, along with a few Korg plugins and his secret drum kit. A lovely electronic journey we think! And it is not only his favorite!
The cinematic “Ma Kore” is closing out this wonderful musical offering by Idan. It encapsulates a unique and mesmerizing melody, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in a world of pure musical expression.
