Clown Dallas is the wonderful moniker of Ayanda Sigwili, a DJ, producer and remixer who grew up on the Indian Ocean in Durban and is now based in Jo%u2019burg. He%u2019s worked with many vocalists from the USA, Europe and RSA, releasing on the German Haus Brigade label. Here he presents the first song from his forthcoming debut album, %u2018Dynasty Apartment%u2019, alongside the LA-born and Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Miranda Nicole. Their %u2018Dynasty Main Mix%u2019 reflects many influences, from disco, funk, soul and gospel to hip hop and techno that he has grown up wit and incorporated into his style. Nicole delivers a wonderful, multi-layered soulful vocal which Sigwili echoes with strings before creating space for a lilting guitar solo.
