Soukie & Windish are well known residents of Berlins two famous clubs Wilde Renate and Kater Holzig. The charming duo which is baed in Hamburg and Berlin is releasing their debut 10 track album "Forest" on their own imprint URSL Records beginning of March. URSL is the label of the hour with 10 brilliant releases by chummy artist and the cover illustrations by Philip Cassirer are very well received. Therefore the double-vinyl album of "Forest" comes with a fine poster and a sticker as an add-on. And later this year Soukie & Windish will release another EP with brand new songs. Busy guys with a master plan.
Nayan Soukie and Fritz Windish is an intercity duo ! Based in Berlin and Hamburg, they are deeply rooted in the north of German.In a short period of time the duo established their own sound, which always suprises with a vast variety of styles from Deep-House productions on URSL and 200 Records to more functional tracks with a little Pop attitude on labels like Time Has Changed and Liebe Detail.
But always with the signature of driving deepness, which works like a carpet under your feet and the long and psychedelic breaks make you shiver on the floor. Soukie & Windish are a sure shot for mature and dirty dancefloors.Nevertheless they also like to play on virgin grounds in the beginning of the night. This does not imply that they do not guarantee an euphoric experience at peak time. Their sets are a mixture of DJ attitude meets Livesounds. Nayan Soukie is in the mix, with loops and effects, while Fritz Windish improvises with his huge collections of samples on this mix. The two are disassembling tracks on the fly and reintegrate new dynamics on the groove and sounds into breaks.
They never miss the perfect drop and the whole performance seems to emerge from a single mystery source. Time is flying during their sets and the energy of them is always infectious!In 2011 they established, with some help from friends, their own label URSL. End of this year we will see the 9th release on Ursl and more are to come ! And in 2013 the duo will celebrate the release of their debut album "A Forest" on Ursl Records. So watch out, please !!!
