Patrick Podage, who made his first musical steps at
the piano and with various percussion instruments,
is a producer and DJ from the new generation of
Bern (Switzerland). After several trips into the
production fields of Hip Hop and Drum'n'Bass, he
finally got stuck in House and Techno. After his
debut Cold Days EP? on Circle Music, he now
comes along with ?And The Slang?. For this purpose
he has teamed up with the young Swiss shooting
star Buraq, who began his career in 2005 at the age
of just 17.
?And The Slang? is a powerful bass-bomb that was
built within a framework of perfectly arranged beats
and percussion elements. Dance animating vocal
snippets demonstrate the joy of the two Swiss guys
with all the effects. Track number two comes along
much smoother. Titled ?Touch? it invites to a calmer
and quite contemplative time of hearing. Soulful
faces superimpose on a pleasantly warm melody
that turn the track into a mixture of Deephouse and
Ambient. The female vocals only highlight the
emotional and soft side of the track, without turning
it into a pop song.
There is not only cheese and cough drops coming
from Switzerland, but also high quality music, which
will appeal to any international audience and forces
them to dance.
