Urbana Recordings
URBANA074 | 2013-02-28
To mark the tenth anniversary of Urbana Recordings, and the twentieth of the company who runs it, Zen Records, we believe it is time to remember several of the tracks that have made Urbana big, so during 2013 we will edit this remixes of classics and remastered original versions , so at the end of the year and will release a compilation with them to commemorate this celebration, besides partying in different clubs worldwide. The first will be in March in Miami.

In the summer of 1995 "The Nightrain" from Kadoc was released on a small label called Zen Records. Then a young David Penn and two other producers who dreamed for a place in the electronics industry, could see how a simple track, made with few resources, disappeared from the shops of Ibiza at full speed. The following year was the big boom of "The Night Train", edited in many countries, with n1 in Holland for over a month and reaching number 12 on singles top sales in the UK and became a classical in electronic music. The Band performed at the legendary "Top Of The Pops" where only two Spanish artists had acted before, Julio Iglesias and Baccara. It was included in hundreds of compilations, so that added to the sale of singles, there were more than two million sales worldwide. All producers who have made new remix versions have specifically requested to do it as it was a track that marked a time for many of us.
Remixes:
Amo and Navas give us a tech house version, updating "The Night Train" forcefully and expertise. Phunk Investigation from Italy, known for tracks such as "Critical" or "Mircale", they offer a techno version. And Benny Royal offers a more uplifting House version and Benny Rodrigues a version with a more classic touch.
