BNinjas is back at Piston Recordings with the exceptional three tracker entitled ‘Wanna Stop EP’. This one follows his last outing here with, 'You Show Too Much Feelings’ and we’ve no doubt he’s brought his A-game once more. His distinctive sound has garnered international acclaim and his return to the label is a treat for genre enthusiasts eager to dive into more of his creations. This latest EP only solidifies BNinjas' position as a skilful producer in the deep house realm. We're always excited with his work and what he has in store for us in the future.
‘Wanna Stop’ opens the release and takes us deep in to the house music abyss. Chunky beats and rhythmic percussions lead the way as hypnotic sounds combine with a plucky bassline and delicate arpeggios. The main hook features an infectious piano chord rhythm with soft edges and a wonderfully warm tone. Top-notch and not to be missed. ‘Get It’ is up next and hits the spot with a minimal approach that features raw, organically flavoured drums that have a live vibe. A slow burning groover with a thick, chunky bassline and pulsating riffs, the track is definitely one for the late-night session. ‘Didn’t See’ concludes the release and opens with an intriguing spoken word narrative which is soon joined by a cool drum arrangement that infects your body and forces you to move. Deep, plucky basses come through adding depth and weight as wistful pads sit in the background. Detuned harps add a surreal element to the groove making it a trippy affair that will not disappoint.
