Shakes Milano brings the goods with AWAKE, his first EP for us over here at We Love This. A release thats oozing cool like a toxic fridge, and is ready to install into any set worthy of its freshness.
First up is our title track Awake, a silky smooth summer/winter/whenever jam with almost radio smashing catchiness. I cannot imagine a situation in which this track wouldn't be appropriate, least of all your dancefloor bang in the middle of your set. Classic.
Alexander Maier takes the track and gives it a subtle drive, adding his own element of mystery to the record. Melodious and melancholic, and almost orchestraic in its composition. This will definitely keep everyone awake in the early hours.
Vincenzo kidnaps the string section and forces them to do his bidding for his remix. With an almost ethereal vibe, he pulls out more and more drums until the break, where he breaks the trance and hits you with some mellow synth. Mesmerising.
Finally, PWNDTIAC steps up on his dreamlike rendition of the title track. Slowed down and thrown in the icebox, if this doesn't chill you the eff out, you need therapy.
