Tony Noodles grew up in New York City to the soundtrack of old seventies breaks and early East Coast hip hop; he became enthralled with DJing during his childhood, watching his older brother win new equipment in the DJ battles of the South Bronx. Inevitably, he became fascinated with all electronic variations following its invasion of America in the early nineties. Moving between New York and Los Angeles, Tony developed his deck skills under the tutelage of Jesse Brooks and other West Coast up-and-comers. Circa 1995, he spun breakbeats during his first gig at La Mirage, New York%u2019s present day Exit. Tony%u2019s sound eventually transitioned into a mesh of tribal, deep and soulful house, which he championed on both coasts. %u201CLA has always had incredible music,%u201D he notes, paying homage to the scene that has inspired him over the years. Tony%u2019s sole production credit to date is a collaboration with Deepfunk head Craig Law entitled %u201CAlphabet City%u201D on the label%u2019s 2001 debut EP, Inner City Experience, Volume 1. His upcoming permanent relocation to the west and enrollment in LA%u2019s Recording Workshop will surely change that. His plans include not only house music, but film soundtracks and scores as well; Tony%u2019s ability to adapt to packed dance floors around the globe will undoubtedly prove useful in the studio.
