Next up on MN2S, a scene music luminary drops a 3 track 12” of pure house goodness.
With his first release over 20 years ago and a discography than bears the hallmarks of over 20 labels, Rick Wade needs no introduction to the discerning house fan. Growing up just outside Chicago before moving to Detroit in his late teens, Rick has, and continues to, live and breathe the spirit of house and to this day remains ever relevant in a scene he has helped shaped, without ever compromising his vision. Making his debut on MN2S, Rick serves up typically classy house section opening with ‘Goon Hand’, a piano laden cut with a funky flair. As its name suggests, ‘Sacred Jazzomety’ explores a muted jazz-house aesthetic with great prowess, whilst ‘Mysterio’, with its hazy remit, broods an air of late night, smoky intelligence. An EP that oozes depth and class from a producer you would expect nothing less from. Rick Wade’s ‘Jazzometry EP’ is out now on both 12” vinyl and digital.
