Dallas superhero Demarkus Lewis is back on Nordic Trax with another installment of soul good music. Having made quite an impact with his debut on Nordic Trax in 2003, the mellow fellow gets busy with this deep three-tracker for NT. Last fall's 'Make It Mellow' wound-up on playlists from deejays around the world, including licenses to Andy Caldwell's mixed-cd for Inspirit Records & a compilation for Pepe Jeans of Spain, mixed by Stuart Patterson.

'Parallels' is a warm long-player for anytime of day or night. Snappin' beats & deep rhodes progressions set the mood. Demarkus' patented string rise gives way to a scholarly look at the parallels of life in urban America, as our narrator guides us cross-country. The 'Spanish Harlem Remix' is one for the jazz massive. An upbeat latin jam with a bass-line that will get the party moving on any discerning dancefloor from London to Tokyo. Rounding off the release is 'Come On (Bop)', a super-deep number that rolls in the classic Demarkus style: deep, intelligent and moving. This is one for the heads.

Demarkus Lewis is a native of Texas and also has releases on Grab, Flat & Round, Double Down, Alluv, Brique Rouge, Bluem, Moods & Grooves, Aesoteric and many more. This record is receiving support from Harri (Subclub), Gilles Peterson (BBC), Murray Richardson, Raoul Belmans (Swirl People), Juan Nunez (Wax), Chris Harris (Tronicsole) and more.
