Well if you judge a venue by the number of awards then this has to be one of the best venues in London. Winner of Best Bar in 2013 and Winner at the Fashion TV Nightlife Awards to go with the plethora of accolades from previous years, would make any rival owner green with envy. McQueen, based in the achingly cool East End of London in Shoreditch, is host to some of the best loved brands in UK clubbing including Hed Kandi, Pukka Up (the most prolific Ibiza Boat Party organiser) and of course Seamless Recordings with its night Seamless Sessions. There are few venues in London that bridge that gap between cool bar and thumping night club and McQueen does this brilliantly. With the look and feel of a Manhattan styled venue it's no surprise that it is super busy every weekend with a very glamorous crowd who know their mojitos from their caipirinhas and their quality deep house from their new school disco.

So we have enrolled the resident and events director who has been instrumental in making McQueen the place that it is (and a musician in his spare time, Shane Macauley to compile and mix the first CD with tracks and mixes that are currently rocking the dancefloors, a mix of deep house with soulful undertones. This is exactly the kind of vibe you can expect from the DJs in the bar as the party warms up.

Guest DJ Timo Garcia who has been at the forefront of production through his own releases on pretty much every cool label on the planet including, Skint, YoshiToshi, Stealth, Toolroom, Compost, CR2 amongst many others, has compiled and mixed the second disc, taking the tempo up scale and the vibe deeper and techier. Timo is well known for his tech house but along with his other production name Nolan adds that pitched down deeper, sexier feeling. With many of his own productions and collaborations with likeminded luminaries such as DJ Pierre and Jerome Sydenham this is the perfect complement to the first mix.

So 2 brilliant mixes from 2 talented DJs from one of the best loved venues in London.....perfect!
