Synth-pop duo We Are The Brave (aka singer-songwriter Jess Chalker and underground hip-hop producer Ox Why) have been hailed as one of this year's most promising acts to emerge out of Australia's fertile indie scene. They've gained international acclaim with their brooding and nostalgic lead single 'Sparrow' (from their self-produced and released debut EP 'Noctua') and its MTV Iggy praised video. Drawing comparisons to Bat For Lashes, Florence and the Machine and Niki And The Dove, the pair has developed their own unique sound tapping into influences from 70s soft rock, adventurous 80s pop, 90s sci-fi/trip-hop and contemporary alterna-pop. For the US release of "Sparrow" (licensed exclusively to KID Recordings), the track has been retrofitted with a new extended version and potent anthemic mixes from Rich Morel, Nightriders, Culture Fires, The Dualists and Gnome primed for the dancefloor or late night chill-out sessions.
