Afterworld is the latest EP by Black Tiger Sex Machine on Kannibalen Records. Influenced by old-school rave, 90s big beat and modern electro house, the Canadian trio has crafted a sulfurous set of dark, apocalyptic beats. The title track is built around a throbbing synth bass line and an eerie verse by Panther. Siren synths come in during the second half, propelling the track to new levels of intensity. Track two, Lost in Chaos, is an aptly-named collaboration with Italian newcomer Jeffer. The co-production is a nightmarish barrage of rave synths that never lets up. The EP also includes three remixes of Afterworld. Owl Vision brings his scorching electro touch to his version. Kai Wachis take starts off as brutal hybrid trapstep before morphing into some crunchy electro trash.
