Public Housin series continues with colonial house music from Boston.

As the former colony of British puritans, and the little brother of
the Big Apple, Boston may not be the first location to look for house
music, especially with a sound that has influences of raw NYC house
and deep south soul. But make no mistake, Boston, MA, has a scene
that's alive and well, largely thanks to the 90's suburban rave scenes
of Massachusetts, the big and popular Together festival, and the
student population of nearby Cambridge.

Enter John Morabito, aka Dark & Stormy, a DJ and a producer from the
Hope Gardens in Boston, now residing in Brooklyn. Over the 5 years
since the inception of the Dark & Stormy project, Morabito has racked
up an impressive list of accolades. In that short time, Dark & Stormy
has been featured in a huge list of publications, released music on
labels like Hotfingers, Natura Viva and Freaky Vibes, made a number
of notable live appearances in places like Boston's Rise, Avalon
Hollywood and The Standard Hotel's Rooftop in downtown LA. His tracks
have seen support from Dubfire, Umek, Angel Stoxx, Mikix the Cat,
Jonathan Ulysses, Sideburn, Timo Garcia, Spartaque, Mike Newman and
many more.

If you're not familiar with our Public Housin -series, here's a got
time to start. With all the love for the throwback and the future,
Dark & Stormy is a combination or both and works both at the intimate
club and the festival. Just don't try to get a cab while in New
England.
