Back from the depths of sonic exploration, worldly education, and couch surfing, South of Roosevelt has returned to bring you their first new release in over a year, %u201CThe SoRo and Friends EP%u201D. This exciting new 5 song EP features collaborations with such familiar artists as Wally Callerio, Mikey V, and My Boy Elroy, as well as newcomers Nicolaas Black, The Sugarcane Family, and Artispure.

Starting the EP off is is the South of Roosevelt & Artispure deep house collaboration titled %u201CMake Me Money%u201D. The perfect deep track for that next Wall Street inspired party or late night ruckus, %u201CMake Me Money%u201D features the catty spoken word wisdom of ultra sexy Chicago burlesque performer and poet Raven. Edgar Allen Poe, eat your heart out.

Second on the %u201CThe SoRo and Friends EP%u201D is the classic house inspired jam %u201CCount On You%u201D. Written together in the early morning hours with longtime friends My Boy Elroy and Nicolaas Black, %u201CCount On You%u201D is the perfect 5 am cut. Complete with the classic MPC 3000 drum swing, %u201CCount On You%u201D serves it up with lush music textures, bouncing piano leads, and Elroy%u2019s smooth vocal melodies creating a sound that is reminiscent of that 90%u2019s feel good house sound we all knew and loved.

Taking up the third spot on the %u201CSoRo & Friends EP%u201D is the South of Roosevelt collaboration with HAWT heavy hitter Mikey V titled %u201CGot This Feeling%u201D. Reminiscent of those late night drives through the valley of Los Angelos, this simple and groovy deep funk jam is highlighted by Mikey V%u2019s soulful vocal hooks and South of Roosevelt%u2019s dubby synth chords and bassline. This is the jam you set the mood with.

The next cut off the %u201CSoRo and Friends EP%u201D is the South of Roosevelt and Sugarcane Family collaboration titled %u201CSomebody To Love%u201D. Hold on to your hats dogs and cats cuz this one is a %u2018twirler%u2019. Featuring a boomin Chicago House drum sound, frolicking flute licks, warped vocal sentiments, and feel good funky basslines, %u201CSomebody To Love%u201D is the ultimate underground take on dubby %u201CNu%u201D Chicago House music.

Finishing off the %u201CSoRo & Friend EP%u201D is their collaboration with California%u2019s classic house maestro Wally Callerio titled %u201CThe Sun%u201D.
