%u201DSun Is Shining%u201D was remixed in 1999 by Danish house producer Funkstar De Luxe. It was signed by Lifted House and licensed to Edel Records in Germany and credited as Bob Marley vs. Funkstar De Luxe. The producer was the first to receive clearance from the Marley estate to release official remixes of the late singer's music (although bootleg mixes of Marley tunes have circulated in the club world for years).

Funkstar De Luxe and Jan Meedom walked to every single DJ playing on Ibiza personally handing them a limited edition 12-inch of Funkstar De Luxe's remix of the, until then, not so known Bob Marley song "Sun Is Shining". It became Bob Marleys highest entry ever in the UK Sales Chart and sold more than 1 million CD-singles. An instant classic.

The song reached number one on the US Hot Dance Club Play chart, and debuted at number three on the UK Singles Chart. It became a top ten hit in Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Norway, and Switzerland.

It has been 15 years since the release and we celebrate this with some new remixes by Funkstar De Luxe (DK) and Funkerman (NL).
