A brand new, Berlin-based record label, Skrufix is an adventure into the future of music. Inspired by our work in the music industry and the game-changing developments of recent years, this project is about finding new perspectives and working with exciting artists, both undiscovered and established ones, who have inspired us to do what we do.
Along the road to pigeonhole liberation, which will be littered with great parties, we want to release off-centre dancefloor masterpieces!

Here we are then, our first release to launch it all, which comes from the aptly named `Things With Wings' (TWW), with his track `Scurrd'. This is an introduction to his distinct style that is both punchy and playful and which will make you shout `fucking yes' when you hear that speaker-rattling bass! The perfect taster for the Skrufix sound, it carries you through with the solid kick, but the brokenness and intricate sounds mean you can't help but be more than a head nodder, you'll need to dance instead!

Two solid remixes complete the package, from a couple of fine producers we have the pleasure to know and work with and whose varying styles more than compliment the original. First up is the one they call MightyHor! Hailing from the UK shire hamlet of Lidstone, he has fought his way through the deep dark dungeons of Enstone and past the armies of Oxford, to polish his warrior and production techniques in the electronic wonderland of `that London'. His remix is nothing short of sublime, adding a simplistic grittiness to it, which builds nicely, to then launch you into broken realms of beats and synths and Juno tweaks!

Next up we introduce Zoonka, who could once be found in fields in Kent listening to indie, acid house and hip-hop. But for Skrufix he has ventured back indoors to bring things to a new level with his remix, putting a darker, glitchier spin on Scurrd, with a totally different rhythmical style. Keeping the crunchy elements of the original and twisting our heads with a deep underlying vocal sample and reverbed sparse beats, reminiscent of the style of Blawan or The Chain. Whatever, it is pretty damn sweet! That is all...
