Seamless brings you the new release from new Birmingham artists, Mikks Tape.
With a few releases on labels such as Conkrete Digital Music, Mikks Tape have come up with a great vocal track featuring the vocal talents of Luke Anderz. The original mix begins with a beautiful sound scaped pad and chord start and then builds into a driving electronic bassline track. With heavily treatment vocal snippets used sparingly alongside the vocal from Luke Anderz this is an uplifting track which sticks int he memory well with the vocal hook of "What I Need"
For remixers we have brought in the talents of Barrientos and also Leigh D Oliver.
Barrientos has really been riding on the crest of a wave for the last 6 months. Since releasing an EP and remixing the late Romanthony for Glasgow Underground at the back end of 2012, he has since gone on to remix artists like Grum and has has been releasing yet more with Glasgow Underground and now Love & Other. His last track alongside Illyus has constantly been played on BBC Radio 1, and has been supported by Skream, Danny Howard, Annie Mac, B Traits amongst many on the station. In April of this year Barrientos was invite on to Pete Tongs show as one of his "Future Stars", and after listening to his remix for Seamless it's easy to see why. His remix is a perfectly made piece of House, with a quality driving bassline and excellent arrangement, stabs and well worked reverb washouts to provide energy for the dance floor. This is a dance floor weapan and has been picking up plays from Russ Chimes, Sonny Fodera, Martijn Ten Velden, Audiowhores, DJ Paulette and Full Intention.
Leigh D Oliver is a UK based DJ / Producer who has been producing quality deep and garage-esq tracks for labels such as Large Music, Inner City Records and Hector Coutos' label Roush, whilst remixing artists like Origins Sounds. His remix is a deep and funky remix with touches of garage. bouncing beats, chord and bassline grooves take this track to another level. This i a great remix for more intimate venues with sexy crowds.
