To celebrate their 10th release, NoN Music are very proud to present the 'Happy Mistakes' EP by Owen Howells and The Pushamann. The release marks an important milestone for NoN, and is the very first time the two men have collaborated on a musical project
together, so something very special for both the label and the artists themselves. Owen Howells is artist who has spent many years developing both his career and his sound in Europe. He initially set up shop in London, where he immersed himself in the city's vibrant house and techno scene, and currently resides in Berlin. The Pushamann needs little introduction – as one of the men behind NoN he has guided the label to its steady ascent, A&Ring music of the highest calibre whilst also thowing NoN music’s regular parties in Fabric’s cavernous room 3.. Together they have produced a four-tracker that is full of emotional depth and dancefloor grooves. They will be celebrating as they do best by playing in Fabric’s room 3 all night long with some special guests on the 1st of November.“Buzzkill” has a dreamy atmosphere, the vocal hypnotises you while sparkling synths
penetrate your subconscious and take you to another dimension. The duo's use of subtle
effects creates a good amount of depth, while the languid pace is assured and entrancing.“Gimme 5” has a offbeat feel, the distorted vocal rolls over a bubbling bassline with muted
pads and complex drum programming dominating the landscape. “Imyourman” comes in two versions, the dub and the original mix. The original progresses at a steady pace, ethereal synth lines unfurling as the hushed vocal repeats 'You don't understand, I'm your man'. The track is emotive and mysterious in equal amounts.Meanwhile the dub version has more prominent percussion and synthesiser work, with a more eerie feel. All in all a package that takes pride of place in the NoN Music catalogue.
