Paul Woolford kicks off his NRK account with a brand new three part EP series. 'Modernist' EP #1 shows just why Woolford is currently being hailed as the best producer in his genre right now from the likes of Pete Tong, Francois Kevorkian, Mr C et al. Woolford's current 'Erotic Discourse' is being hailed as one of those tracks that has captured the imagination of both house and techno DJs alike.

And so onto 'Modernist #1', and whilst Woolford nods to the past on title track '313', the arrangement and structure of the infectious cut is as modern as electronic dance gets right now. On 'Part One', warm and lush pads herald an epic 11 minute production that twists and turns, all the while keeping the solid groove flowing. 'Part Two' presents a rawer and heavier take, the driving cowbell rhythm, snaking synth line and sub bass will cause much devastation.
