Rebirth is happy to present the brand new EP from Zurich based DJ and producer Jimi Jules. One of the most promising upcoming artists in the international underground dance music scene Jimi Jules produced 'Pushing On', one of the biggest tracks in 2014, with his partner in crime Oliver Dollar.
Descended from a tribe of Caribbean voodoo-sorcerers and a Central Swiss farmer and musician's family, Jimi Jules quickly picked up the very basic essence of soulful musical vibrations, first expressing his colourful moods on a trumpet and later on a bass tuba, completing also his Master's degree at the Zurich University of the Arts, where he specialised in mixing and producing.
Over the course of his studies, Jimi Jules proved his exceptional skills as a live performer in front of the magnificent backdrop of his electro-band Le Dompteur, and become dj resident at club Hive in Zurich and later at the infamous Watergate club in Berlin.
The Brilliant 'No Wishes EP' sums up Jimi's sound: the title track is a funked up space disco track with killer bassline that is already destroying our dance floors since months every time is played, while 'Comic Fly' is a grooving electropop gem, with spacey lead sounds and instruments recorded live.
