Uto’s latest outing on his own Agile Recordings kicks off with an ultra-sensual rhythm section before letting the sly bassline set the tone and the quirky percussion intertwine with discordant synths and vocal snippets. On the first rework of “Reflective”, we have none other than the mighty Dosem who fattens things up, mangles the original’s vocal edits and then adds his trademarked melodic chords for a more nostalgic feel. Closing up, Paride Saraceni’s percussion-led version of the same track boasts commanding stabs, while the rubber-band bass holds everything together in style.
