The fourth live recording to emerge from Bradford's freshest avant garde multimedia venue Fuse Art Space comes from Oliver Barrett, aka Petrels. London-based composer Barrett has been turning out epic opuses for a few years, most recently on the Denovali imprint, blending noise, field recordings and monolithic harmonic constructions to terrifying effect. This live set from 2014 is a great example of his immersive sound, patient development of complex textures and sense of musical drama.
Previous releases in the Fuse Editions series have come from BJ Nilsen (#001), Star Turbine (#002) and Sheffield's finest noisemakers Trans/Human & Spandril (#003). Watch this space.
