The latest release on Nikko.Z's Dopamine Music welcomes Marcelo Vasami to the label with 'Destiny'. Long regarded as one of Argentina's most talented producers Marcelo Vasami has carved out his own unique place in the electronic underground. His deep, hypnotic productions are some of the grooviest around and Hernan Cattaneo has been one of his long time supporters. 2015 appearances on Classound Recordings, Clinique Recordings and Whose Haus showcased an even fresher production edge. Marcelo's debut single for Dopamine Music 'Destiny' keeps that strong momentum flowing and is accompanied by an equally stellar remix from Nikko.Z.
The original mix leads the release off and finds Marcelo showcasing a deeper, trippier side of his studio repertoire. Layered beats, rolling grooves and drifting psychedelics highlight a strong first act. Rich atmospheres and moody motifs soon surround the framework as the track methodically builds. Now stripping itself down into the main break, soft vocal gates and alien-like designs reveal a more realized lead theme. The underlying emotion is strong and it sets up a dreamy but powerful conclusion that you won't soon forget.
The lone interpretation of 'Destiny' is provided by Dopamine Music boss Nikko.Z who is making his fifth appearance on the label. The Greek producer and long time favourite of Hernan Cattaneo has been quiet thus far in 2015, which certainly has his fan base longing for new music. Nikko's most recent production, an interpretation of Madloch and Matias Vila 'Reading Souls' enjoyed a long stay in Beatport's Progressive House chart and he's followed that up with an impressive rendition of 'Destiny'. Nikko's transformed Marcelo's original into a deep, techno beast which is going to be great on the dance floor. Rough beats, a chugging groove and dubby rhythms lay down a powerful framework before Nikko unleashes his sonic delights. Long trailing effects, incandescent tones and wispy vocal pads lift you up to heavens before the lead motif brings an exhilarating apex. A standout interpretation from Nikko which rounds out another excellent offering from Dopamine Music. Don't miss it.
