Slow Down

Cesar De Melero & Mr. Claude

Essential Records
ESSR10111 | 2015-07-13
In the 90's three house record labels stood out for their creativity and popularity in France and of course beyond their own borders.
F. Communications of Laurent Garnier, Roulé of Thomas Bangalter and Daft Punk member and the prestigious label with a Ibizan soul, Pro-Zak Trax.
Two of the founders of this last label have ventured twenty years later on with a new Project ”Slow Down” a tribute to the origins of House. Left with productions which go under the artist's name of D.O.D., performed at the end of the 90's by well-known D.J's such as Armand Van Helden, DJ Sneak or Fat Boy Slim.
César de Melero and Emmanuel Claude, (one of the fathers of “French Touch”) offer us this album with electrical versions of House anthems, transported with great care to another dimension.
Tracks which had great success passing through Ibiza, were D.J Melero resident in this white island for thirty years, had the honor to spread them over more than one generation.
“Slow Down” is simply, “A Lounge Tribute To The House Classics”. These new slow downed versions do not sound like their original tracks, this is what makes it genial, because were not talking about House, but Lounge, Dub, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Pop….MUSIC in capital letters.
A foregoing work of art, “Ready To Cross Over”.
